Your First Visit - Our goal is to serve you in the best way we possibly can. During your first visit, we want to make sure that we accurately examine you, and answer any questions you have about the chiropractic procedure used in our office.

When you arrive at the office, you will be taken on a brief tour of the office and then asked to complete a health history form. Most commonly this is sent to you through the mail so you can save time in the office by completing it before your appointment. Next, you will be asked to view a video presentation of the chiropractic methods used at Barone Spinal Care. Following this, you will meet with the doctor for your personalized
consultation and examination.

Your examination will include two computerized scans known as paraspinal thermography and surface electromyography (sEMG). Next a postural evaluation will be performed, which consists of a supine leg check. You will not need to disrobe during the examination. At this point the doctor will inform you whether you are a candidate for care. This concludes the consultation portion of your visit. If you decide to continue with care, further examination would then be required which consists of specific upper cervical x-rays. This first visit,
including the x-rays, requires approximately 60-90 minutes to complete.

Your Second Visit

During this visit the doctor will sit down with you and go over your x-rays, explaining the findings bone by bone. He will then recommend a treatment plan. Each individual’s care plan is designed for his or her case. Children usually require less care than adults.

You will then receive your first upper cervical correction in this office. There will be no twisting popping or cracking of the spine. This is followed by another supine postural check. We will then take a second set of x-rays, and compare them with your first set. This will be followed by a resting period. Finally, you will receive instructions explaining how to best protect and maintain your new correction.

Follow-up Care

After the first two visits, follow-up care begins. This involves paraspinal thermography and a supine leg check on each visit, as well as an upper cervical chiropractic adjustment as needed. The goal of care is to correct your spine, and keep it corrected over time.

Insurance

All of our patients pay by cash, check, or credit card (Visa/Mastercard) at the time of service. Our staff, who are trained in insurance practices, will print you a receipt listing all the insurance codes. All you have to do is send this receipt to the insurance company, and your insurance company will reimburse you based on your insurance plan. Insurance coverage for chiropractic varies, so speak with your employer or insurance carrier if you
have any questions. Barone Spinal Care is NOT a part of any preferred provider networks.
